Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 cup milk (or plant-based alternative)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry, stirring until just mixed (don’t overmix!).
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease. Pour ¼ cup of batter for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, flip, and cook the other side until golden brown.
Tip: Serve with honey, fresh fruits, or nut butter for a wholesome breakfast!
