Ingredients:
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and honey. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Allow it to rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
